MIRI: SM Sains Miri is the top school for the PMR results in the state this year with a school average grade (GPS) of 1.0275.
Principal Serina Sauni attributed the success to the hardwork of students and teachers.
“This PMR examination is the last one as starting next year it will be replaced by a school-based assessment.
“I’m really happy our students made the school proud and the result this year is the best ever achieved by the school,” she said when met at the school in Luak.
The school has improved its grade and percentage.
Last year, the GPS of the school was1.0772 followed by 61 straight-A students making up 67.03 per cent of candidates.
Out of 43 candidates, 37 students or 86.05 percent achieved straight-As this year.
The high achievers were Hizaamuddin Ismail Othman, Nur Hafiza Yusree, Dayang Anis Awang Baki, Muhd Nurehsanuddin Ahyat, Nurizzudin Omar, Nur Nasuha Nasir, Muhammad Waffieq Syarafuddin Mazlan, Mohd Asyrafil Affandi, Nurul Syafiqah Abdul Wahab, Nurain Norman, Shafina Mohd Takip, Raden Mohd Adib Raden Romani, Dayang Nurhanani Awang Rosmi, Nur Wildayati Abdul Rahman, Nadia Farhana Wardi, Muhamad Aiman Hakim Mohd Hisham, Ahmad Irham Azahari, Mohd Faris Iskandar Sulfii, Auni Abdullah, Sharifah Zahidah Izzati Wan Kamal, Dayang Shahrizat Abang Mahmud, Ratna Mutiara Mohamad, Nurul Adilah Othman and Muhd Khairul Akmal Roslan.
Others were Cosmartin Allistair Cosmas, Javer Jimbau, Emily Puyang Lah, Joviana Brain, Felicia Agam, Jaquelyn Juliet Suching, Eleazar Laing Uyo, Luke Laing Laurence, Grace Temenggong, Dereenaldo Ambun Chubing, Lerra Bajut, Caroline Nanti Sumen and Michael Rekan Eddy.
