MIRI: A man in his twenties died in a road accident on early yesterday, after the motorcycle he was riding skidded and crashed at Sungai Baong cemetery in Krokop.
Miri Police chief ACP Mun Kock Keong, when contacted on Thursday, confirmed the report on the 1am incident.
“It was during a heavy downpour when the incident occurred, where we believe, the deceased had lost control of his motorcycle due to the (slippery) road condition,” said Mun.
The deceased died enroute to Miri Hospital, due to serious injuries he sustained on his head and body.
Police believed that the deceased was not a local.
According to sources, the deceased’s body was hit by an unknown vehicle after he had fallen off from his motorcycle.
