MIRI: Two suspected thieves crashed their motorcycle in panic by the roadside when they spotted a Mobile Police Vehicle (MPV) on patrol at Taman Tunku early on Christmas Eve.
In the 2am incident, the duo in their 30’s and 40’s, were believed to have broken into a house there as they were seen suspiciously carrying a set of tiles on their motorcycle.
One of the man was injured on his right forehead when the motorcycle landed in a drain during the heavy downpour.
He was sent to Miri Hospital for medical treatment.
