SARIKEI: Four men who committed house-breaking theft at LF Asia Sebor (S) Sdn Bhd godown reported last Oct 5 were separately charged with possession of and disposing of stolen items in the Magistrate’s Court here last Wednesday.
The accused, Mohamad Musa Saraee, 31; Khairul Syahran Sarbini, 19; Rasmansy Abdul Hakim, 35 and Budiman Fauzi, 31 pleaded guilty to all the charges.
There were each fined RM3,000 to RM5,000 in default three to five months imprisonment.
The four were said to have stolen RM39,166.80 in the break-in and shared the money among them.
Mohamad Musa, who, according to prosecuting officer, Inspector Anbarasu Gobi received a share of RM10,000 was charged with possession of stolen items and accordingly fined RM10,000 in default five months imprisonment as provided under Section 411 of the Penal Code.
Khairul who received RM5,000 share and had used all the money to buy cellular phones and electronic goods was charged with disposing of stolen items and accordingly fined RM5,000 in default three months imprisonment as provided under section 414 of the penal code.
Rasmansy who received RM4,000 share who was charged with possession of stolen items under Section 411 of the Penal Code was fined RM4,000 in default three months imprisonment. Police managed to recover RM1,800 from him.
Budiman who received RM4,000 share and had used all the money to buy cellular phones, gold ring and necklace was charged with disposing of stolen items. He was fined RM4,000 in default three months imprisonment as provided under Section 414 of the Penal Code.
All the accused did not pay the fine and were ordered to serve the custodial punishment to take effect from date of conviction.
