MIRI: Head of State Tun Datuk Patinggi Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng and his wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Norkiah continued their Chinese New Year (CNY) visits here with their entourage yesterday.
On their second day of CNY visits here, they extended festive greetings to various dignitaries, community leaders and prominent developers here.
Assistant Minister of Resource Planning Datuk Mohd Naroden Majais, Sibuti MP Ahmad Lai Bujang and Miri Resident Antonio Kahti Galis accompanied Their Excellencies and the entourage on their visits.
The entourage first visited former deputy chief minister cum former SUPP president Tan Sri Datuk Patinggi Dr George Chan.
This was followed by a visit to former political secretary to Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water Datuk Sebastian Ting.
The group then made their way to Assistant Minister of Sports and Communication cum SUPP assistant secretary-general Datuk Lee Kim Shin’s open house.
Later, the head of state and the group also participated in a traditional Yee Sang toss at the residence of Interhill Group managing director Datuk Hii Chang Pee.
Following this, the entourage visited Miri Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry chairman Temenggong Datuk Seri Lee Sie Tong.
The entourage then visited former Temenggong Lim Siong Yu and ended their visit to Miri housing group of companies executive chairman Datuk Lau Siu Wai’s open house.
