MIRI: Two women were among nine illegals from Indonesia rounded up by police at a construction site near Marina Bay here early Thursday morning for not having passports.
The raid was held around 4.30am by police personnel from the Crime Investigation Department (CID) Miri.
All suspects, in their 20’s, were brought to Miri Central Police Station (CPS) around 7am.
Miri deputy police chief, Supt Stanley Jonathan Ringgit when contacted yesterday said the case is being investigated under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1963 for not having valid travel documents.
