KUCHING: A total of 186 families are appealing to the Sarawak Land and Survey Department (JTS) to expedite the title deeds for their housing lots at Kampung Bidayuh Ulu Sungai Dalam, Taman Tunku in Miri.
“The lots have been divided and applications submitted to the JTS but we have yet to receive the approvals,” village head Jimmy Nyahen Bado, who is among its earliest residents, told Bernama yesterday.
He said the Infrastructure Development and Communication Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin Jawong had also discussed the matter with the state government.
The village was established in 1993 by four families but has now expanded to 186 families of various races due to mixed marriages and has a population of 1,025.
The village has a range of facilities such as clean water supply, electricity, tarred roads, wireless broadband and KEMAS kindergartens. — Bernama
