KUCHING: Pullman Kuching is offering Lunar New Year reunion dinners at Nu Er Hong Restaurant and Puzzle.
Chef Wei Kin Soon and his team have crafted a delicious menu laden with auspicious dishes that symbolise a prosperous year ahead.
The Grand Reunion Dinner on Jan 30, for a table of 10, comes in two packages with all the popular Spring season dishes such as yee sang and fish.
At Nu Er Hong Restaurant, the RM1,188 eight-course Longevity Set comes with the Prosperity Symbol (salmon yee sang with mixed pickles), Golden Melting Pots (braised shredded abalone broth with water chestnut and crab meat), Jade Emperor (steamed white pomfret in premium chicken essence), Lucky 8 (braised duck with sea cucumber, yam and lotus root), Bless Happiness – Special ‘Gong Xi Fa Cai’ Teo Flavours Prawn (wok-tossed sea king prawns with Marmite sauce and pumpkin butter sauce), Bountiful Harvest (combination of mixed mushroom, broccoli with beancurd skin and handmade sea cucumber ball, pacific clams, black moss in abalone sauce), Golden Blossom (eight treasure glutinous rice) and Red Lantern (hot cream of yam puree with red beas and sago).
The RM1,388 Longevity Set will include Prosperity Symbol (golden treasure abalone yee sang with mixed pickles), Fortune Is Shining (braised shredded lobster meat broth with fresh mushroom) and Jade Emperor (steamed cod fish in premium chicken essence and fermented bean sauce) besides the Lucky 8, Bless Happiness, Bountiful Harvest, Golden Blossom and Red Lantern.
The Prosperity Set, priced from RM988 per table of 10 persons, will be at the Banquet Hall.
Diners are encouraged to make early reservations with full pre-payment before Jan 20 to enjoy a bottle of red or white wine per table.
Nu Er Hong also offers yee sang takeaway, which can be ordered from now until Feb 14 in medium or large sizes.
The salmon yee sang is priced from RM69 for medium servings and from RM98 for large serving; the Abalone Yee Sang from RM98 and RM188, and Snow Pear Yee Sang from RM48 and RM78.
There is also the Lunar New Year eight-course Set Menu for a table of 10 available from Jan 31 to Feb 14, with the Prosperity Set priced from RM888, Longevity Set from RM1,188 and Golden Treasure Set from RM1,288.
At Puzzle, the ‘Fa Cai’ Reunion Buffet Dinner runs from 6.30pm to 10pm and is priced from RM98 per adult.
Also available is the Prosperity Buffet Lunch (12pm to 2.30pm) priced from RM58 per adult and Dinner (6.30pm to 10pm) priced from RM98 per adult.
Puzzle also offers a Chap Goh Mei Buffet Dinner on Feb 14 priced from RM98 per adult.
This is a sumptuous feast featuring all the perennial Chinese delicacies including smoked duck breast, roast duck with plum sauce, double boiled Chinese chicken herbal soup, braised grouper Teochew style or 89 degree roast striploin with pineapple barbecue sauce.
For the buffet selection, children aged five to 12 will receive a 50 per cent discount.
