SIBU: Parents sending their children to SK St Mary are hoping that the feeder road to the school will soon be raised and widened.
They said the road was very congested during peak hours due mainly to indiscriminate parking.
One of the parents suggested that parents use motorcycles as the alternative when fetching their children from the school.
She said the road was too narrow for motorists to park their cars by the roadside.
“It’s highly likely that one or two cars ended in a roadside ditch one of these days,” she said.
Another parent suggested that the road be raised, saying it was prone to flood.
“We’ve gone through knee-deep flood along this feeder road,” he said, relating having to wade knee-deep through flood water to reach the school to buy school books for their children on Dec 30.
