KUCHING: Students who register for the April 2014 intake at Nusantara Institute of Information Technology (Niit College) are eligible for a PTPTN repayment plan that settles their loan in two years.

Aside from that plan, they will also enjoy a 100 per cent job guarantee scheme and a free tablet from Niit College.

“We want to make quality education affordable to all levels of people, and this arrangement can reduce the financial burden of students and parents,” Niit chief executive officer Anderson Voon told reporters at Regal House, Kota Samarahan yesterday.

He added that after completion of the diploma programme, students need not worry about employment.

“The college has collaboration with commercial partnering companies that range from small to bigger organisations, such as Regal Group in Kuching.

“Students eligible for the repayment plan need not worry about long term financial commitments that drag on for 10 years plus interest, as the company will on their behalf pay PTPTN within 24 months,” Voon said.

However, should the student choose to go overseas or work elsewhere, the agreement would be voided and the student has to deal with the PTPTN payment on their own.

PTPTN, which is Perbadanan Tabung Pendidikan Tinggi Nasional or National Higher Education Fund Loan, is a scheme to finance the education of students in local institutions of higher learning to enable them to finance fully or partially course fees and cost of living for the duration of their study.

Niit College will be holding open days on March 29 and 30 for its April intake and interested candidates and parents are urged to bring along their SPM results and MyKad.

Interested candidates who wish to obtain further information are advised to contact Niit College at 082-242411 or 1800-888 448 during office hours.
