KUCHING: FAME International College Malaysia (formerly FTMS International College) offers various diploma programmes ranging from Diploma in Business Administration (DBA), Diploma in Accounting and Finance (DAF), Diploma in Business Information Systems (DBIS) to Diploma in Entrepreneurship (DIE).
The college in a press statement said its DAF programme offers students a wide option for further studies and future career prospects with its
broad-based education that aims to instil confidence and prepare students with both technical and soft skills in the dynamic accounting and finance sectors.
Upon completion of this programme, graduates interested to further their studies in ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) will be exempted from the first four papers in ACCA.
For DBA, the programme will ensure students receive a solid knowledge-based foundation as well as forge and sharpen a keen business mind.
It also prepares students to be effective members of the workforce by enhancing their analytical and problem-solving skills.
Graduates from this programme will gain practical skills which are relevant for employment in a variety of today’s business environment.
Meanwhile, the DBIS programme enables students to effectively manage critical information technology resources by providing students with an experiential understanding of the fundamental infrastructure components of Information Technology which include computer hardware, networking, operating systems, application software and more.
The FAME DIE programme on the other hand, is designed to produce entrepreneurs and executives by preparing them for the challenge of setting their own business or taking on an entrepreneurial role in a corporation.
Students will develop knowledge of entrepreneurship skills with insights from specialist management disciplines and entrepreneurship practices.
Furthermore, DIE is included with Money and You® programme, which delivers education in a significant way that traditional business courses will not.
Even better, the programme also offers free revision for life, allowing students to revisit the programme even after they have completed the Diploma course at the college.

All Diploma programmes offered by FAME are approved by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA), ensuring the quality of their education.
FAME is also in collaboration with University of Cumbria and is expecting to launch a direct entry from diploma courses into Year 2 Degree programme with University of Cumbria in January 2015 as well as Foundation Studies with University of Cumbria in April 2015 for SPM students.
Furthermore, a number of universities offer pathways with FAME International College allowing students to continue their education to a university degree following their Diplomas such as at University of Sunderland (UK), University of Portsmouth (UK), Anglia Ruskin University (UK), University of Cumbria (UK), University of Derby (UK), Southern Cross University (Australia) and Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS).
Students can apply for National Higher Education Funds Corporation (PTPTN) given out by the government to assist students financially.
The college will fully assist students with the PTPTN loan application process.
