KUCHING: The Leo Club of St Joseph’s Secondary School recently presented over 100 used clothing to the St Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop.

Leo Club president Stanton Tan said that they hosted the used clothing donation drive last year under two seasoned Leo Club teacher-advisors.

“We are excited to expand this project by collecting more clothes, accessories, household lines and children’s toys to be donated to more charitable organisations next year,” said Tan.

Representing the Leo Club during the handover was school principal Thomas Lau.

Juliana Jong of the St Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop said that providing clothes to a charitable group like theirs may not seem like much, but this simple act of kindness is a great way to help people to alleviate their cost of living expenses, especially at this moment.

Philomena Clarence, also from the same organisation, added that the Thrift Shop is for individuals of any income level. The money generated from the sales is put back into the organisation to help more people.

St Vincent de Paul Thrift Shop here is situated at the left hand side of the St Joseph’s Cathedral at Rock Road here.
