KANOWIT: A total of RM495,000 in Minor Rural Project grants has been distributed to 99 recipients under Ngemah state constituency.
The function to distribute the MRP grants was held at Kanowit District Office multipurpose hall here on Friday.
Ngemah assemblyman Alexander Vincent presented the cheques to the recipients comprising longhouse Village Security and Development Committees (JKKK), non-governmental organisations and clubs.
He said the fund was given based on their requests and needs with a proviso that they must use it wisely.
Present at the function were Pemanca Spencer Kudang and state administrative officer Gima Mengkang.
