SRI AMAN: Lingga assemblywoman Simoi Peri advised community leaders in her constituency to go to the ground frequently to deliver messages on government development agenda and policies.
According to Simoi, the people have the right to know, especially on government policies.
On the government’s part, this was to ensure people were not be carried away by instigations and influences of the opposition, she added.
She was speaking at the presentation of Minor Rural Project (MRP) fund at her service centre here yesterday.
Simoi said the people themselves would lose if they were divided by different political preferences.
A total of RM23,500 was distributed to nine non-governmental organisations and clubs from her constituency yesterday.
Also present at the event were Sri Aman Welfare Department assistant director Sharifah Ranimah Wan Hashim, Sri Aman State Administration Officer Zaidi Sarkawi and Parti Pesaka Bumiputer Bersatu Lingga Women Chief Khamisita Wasli.
