He is believed to have forgotten to engage the handbrake of the vehicle before getting down from it.

Sibu OCPD ACP Mohd Kamal Kordi said Soo was found pinned to the gate.

A witness claimed that he then reversed the lorry to release Soo but Soo fell and hit his head on the concrete floor.
The police chief assured that the incident would be investigated from all angles.
“The Forensic Unit from Kuching would be here today (Friday, 7 Feb),” he disclosed.
In the meantime, the family of the deceased suspected foul play, saying they could not believe it was an accident.
According to them, Soo had proceeds from business amounting to RM30,000 with him, but the money was nowhere to be found.
They were accompanied by Dudong assemblyman Yap Hoi Liong when lodging a police report yesterday.
Yap said a policeman who was on his way home from duty around 2am found Soo pinned to the gate and called his colleagues to the scene.
“The gate was closed when the policemen arrived,” he said, adding that Soo was sent to Sibu Hospital in an ambulance.
“Soo died on arrival in hospital around 4am,” Yap said.
Soo’s father, a pork vendor with two sons and two daughters, was told of the incident by his other son.
A post-mortem on Soo’s body will be carried out at 11.30am today.
