KUCHING: 1Malaysia Sarawak (1MSarawak) Advisory Council chairman Datuk Joseph Salang Gandum and his delegation made a courtesy call on Second Resource Planning and Environment Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hassan at the latter’s office at Wisma Sumber here yesterday.
During the visit, Salang told Awang Tengah that the advisory council had set up its office here in the city in July last year.
He also said that so far 30 community projects at various stages of completion had been undertaken to improve the standard of living of the people in the state. Overall, 1MSarawak is focusing on quality water supply, electricity supply, skill training, agriculture, education and housing improvement.
The council also works closely with Ihsan Perdana Sdn Bhd, state Education Department, Geoscience and Mineral Department, state Agriculture Department, Farmers’ Association Julau, Ceria Bario, Kuching Rotary Club and Upland Engineering Resources.
