SIBU: A 19-year-old woman lodged a police report against her ex-boyfriend when he refused to leave her alone.
It is believed that the couple had split before she went to a university in Sabah.
She is currently back in Sibu for her semester break and is working part-time.
The ex-boyfriend, believed to be in his 20s, was said to have kept asking her to come back to him.
It is said that he was unemployed, and disliked by the woman and her mother. Last Monday, the woman received a threatening SMS from him.
Yesterday morning, the woman and her mother saw the man at the town, and the mother immediately asked him not to disturb her daughter anymore.
Apparently, her words fell on deaf ears.
The mother and daughter then went to the Central Police Station to lodge a report.
Meanwhile, a man in his 30s lost his gold necklace worth about RM4,000 to robbers about 1am yesterday.
The victim was about to go home after having some drinks with his friends in Rejang Park.
When he was about to enter his car, a black car came and four of the six men inside the car alighted.
Two men pointed a knife at his neck; one restrained his hands on his back and one blind-folded him.
After that, they snatched his gold necklace, pushed him inside his (victim’s) car and locked it as they fled.
The victim lodged a police report yesterday.
