KAPIT: A meeting was held at Meligai Hotel here yesterday to finalise the list of small projects to be implemented in the constituency this year.
It involved government officers and staff of Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi’s Service Centre together with Wilson Nyabong, a political secretary to the chief minister.
“The meeting was basically to hear reports and finalise with the officers the list of small projects to be implemented in the constituency this year, said Nanta, who is Deputy Minister of Rural and Regional Development and Kapit MP.
He will be going around his constituency to inspect on-going projects, including the Kapit-Song Road, which is part of Kapit-Song-Kanowit-Sibu Road, longboat landing facilities, waterfront improvement project here and in Song.
‘I will chair the new committee – Kapit Rural Development Council (Majlis Pembangunan Luar Bandar Kapit). We’ve already started to discuss on the list of projects. At the meeting, I did a briefing on the establishment of this new committee,” said Nanta.
Also present were deputy Kapit Resident ZulUsup, Sarawak administrative officers from District Office Mohd Suppian and Karon Mampus, Kemas supervisor Amnrose Abong, Jais officer Kunchi, land and Survey Department staff Watson Awam and chairman of SADIA Kapit, Edward Manggah.
