KUCHING: Horizon Cafe, a subsidiary of SCR Corporation Sdn Bhd, is offering three sets of Chinese menu and ala carte menu to ring in the Year of the Horse.
Its ala carte menu comprises four signature dishes, which will be available from Jan 20 to Feb 28.
Not only will dine-in customers get to savour sauteed ostrich with curry paste, stir-fried lotus root with vegetables and almond flakes, deep fried butter prawn and sauteed squid with chilli and hot bean paste, they are also entitled to a RM100 cash voucher during the promotion period.
For Chinese set menu, Horizon Cafe offers menu A, B and C priced at RM488, RM688 and RM888 respectively.
Despite the price difference, all three sets come with a nine-course meal.
Menu A rolls out superior three combination platter, thick soup of sea cucumber with crabmeat and shimeiji mushroom, deep fried chicken in Thai style, steamed sea bass in traditional style, sauteed ostrich with black pepper, sauteed prawn ball in Szechuan style, braised bai ling mushroom with sliced abalone and broccoli, fresh fruit platter and deep fried Chinese pancake.
Those going for Menu B will enjoy deluxe of four combination, shark’s fin soup with crab meat, braised chicken in jiang nam style, steamed sea bass with chopped chili and hot bean paste, golden prawn ball, sauteed mixed vegetables with fresh scallop and almond flakes, braised bean gluten with broccoli and mushroom, chilled cream of honeydew sago with water chestnut and deep fried Chinese pancake.
For Menu C, customers get to savour six hot combination platter, superior shark’s fin soup with crab meat and bamboo pith, steamed white pomfret in Cantonese style, deep fried crispy duck, sauteed fresh scallops with crab meat and egg white fu yong style, sauteed prawn ball with salted egg yolk, braised lotus root with mixed vegetables and almond flakes, chilled longan soup with red date, white fungus and sea coconut and imported fresh fruit platter.

It will be closed for the Lunar New year celebration from Jan 30. Business will resume on Feb 5.
