KUCHING: Scouts Association of Malaysia (Sarawak) held its first Conference of Commissioners here last Saturday.
This event was its first scouting activity for this year in the state.
The highlight of the conference was seeing new state chief commissioner Sudaryo Osman in the spotlight.
He was elected on Nov 30 last year to replace the late Dunstan Meling, who passed away in May 2012.
In a press statement, the association stated that the conference successfully charted the direction for scouting for this year.
Sudaryo urged all the scout commissioners to lend him strong support to lead the movement.
He also urged all scout members to double their efforts and to remain active.
The conference was attended by over 60 commissioners from across the state.
