SIBU: Two men suspected of committing a series of theft and snatching were arrested by the police yesterday morning.
The police caught a man in his twenties from Kuching at a house in Tiong Hua Road and seized from him a variety of tools.
The arrestee then led them to a house nearby.
When the police stormed the house, a man clad in only his underwear leapt from the first floor and fled but was caught some 50 metres away.
The man injured his foot in the attempt to escape.
A motorcycle, believed to be stolen, and the bumper of a four-wheel-drive vehicle were seized at the house.
Police said the suspects were also believed to have a connection with the two snatching cases in Hua Kiew Road recently.
